Hyperion hints at this when he complains about the Germans: Thus, after all these tragedies, an overall feeling of unity prevails: I kept reading here and there that Holderlin influenced many philosophers and poets. Honestly became kind of a slog to get through too, but some of bolderlin philosophical ruminations were nice.
