Chesterton celebrating the victory of the Holy League in the Battle of Lepanto written in irregular stanzas of rhyming, roughly paeonic tetrameter coupletsoften ending in a quatrain of four dimeter lines. Reading GK is difficult but worth reading. Unfortunately, I find that Chesterton’s rhyme-scheme is too sing-song and pedantic.
